They are also using erythritol and they have added monk fruit as a sweetener as well. This makes it tough to not eat this daily. Try it out and see what you think. You surely won’t regret it.

A Few Words About Carbs On Keto Diet

You will notice that I’ve listed the “net carbs” for most of the ice cream brands named. This is because all carbs are not counted the same. There is what we call simple carbs that will spike insulin levels. The most common simple carb would be sugar. The other type of carbs is called complex carbs. Complex carbohydrates contain fiber and/or starch. You want to lean on the fiber-rich complex carbs most of the time on the keto diet.

When calculating net carbs, you will subtract the fiber from the total carb count.

What makes ice cream keto friendly?

It is pretty simple. This will be any ice cream that will not have a major affect on someone’s insulin levels. Everyone will have a different threshold of carbs that will have a big enough effect to kick someone out of ketosis(if you are not sure what this means, head over to our keto basics resources).

How many carbs are too many on the keto diet?:

One of the general rules of thumb would be around 20 grams of net carbs in a single day of eating. Going over this is never a good idea when trying to produce the necessary ketones during ketosis.

Where can you buy these brands?

You can buy most of these keto friendly ice cream brands online directly from their website, but I also included any other links for buying these products online. I also provided some insight if they can be purchased in any of the grocery stores that I am aware of.
